GeoGebra
In order to perform a regression in GeoGebra, use Spreadsheet, where it’s easy to add or change the information used in the regression analysis.
GeoGebra Instruction 1
- 1.
- Open
Algebra View,Graphics ViewandSpreadsheetunderViewinMenu. - 2.
- In column
A, enter the -coordinates of your data points. In columnB, input the -coordinates of your data points. - 3.
- Select all the cells in columns
AandBthat you have entered coordinates into and clickTwo Variable Regression Analysisin
Toolbar. - 4.
- In the drop-down list in the bottom-left corner of your window, select the regression model you want to use (linear, polynomial, exponential etc.).
Your model will be given as a function
y =to the right of the drop-down list after you have selected a regression model. The graph of the model will also be displayed along with your data points. You can copy the graph toGraphics Viewby clickingCopy to Graphics Viewat the top of the window. Once the graph is copied, the data points will appear in
Algebra Viewas well.
The picture below shows a graph that has been copied over to Graphics View as described in Step 4 in Item 4 above.
